Fox with head stuck in metal flooring saved after three-hour rescue in Birmingham

A fox was rescued after getting its head stuck in a hole through a metal floor at an industrial site in Birmingham.

The female was saved by West Midlands Fire Service staff after she was discovered by workers in Bordesley Green at around 7am on 11 August.

Footage shared by the RSPCA, who also responded to the scene, shows the distressed fox with her head stuck in the floor.

Specialised equipment was used to cut through the floor and free the animal in a rescue which took around three hours.
