Antique Roadshow guest finds out teddy bear she’s kept in plastic bag is worth huge amount
An Antiques Roadshow guest was reduced to tears after she discovered the true value of a childhood teddy bear she kept in a carrier bag at the back of a wardrobe for years.
The woman, who appeared on Sunday’s Christmas special (17 December), brought in the bear, which turned out to be extremely rare and made by Steiff.
The antique expert praised the bear before revealing her valuation.
She said: “So, we are talking about a Steiff teddy bear, circa 1904, incredibly rare colour, a rare size because most of them were smaller than this, and a value wise, £15,000.”
