‘Extremely rare’ Albino zebra ‘seen only a handful of times’ caught on camera
An incredibly rare albino zebra has been spotted in Kenya, with its striking blonde hair standing out next to its black and white friends.
Stunning footage, captured by Abdelrahman Hassanein who was leading a tour through the Maasai Mara National Reserve, shows a herd peacefully grazing nearby, with one standout zebra.
The albino’s stripes appear almost washed out to a faint white, and its mane and tail appeared to be more yellow compared to the rest of the herd’s jet-black hair.
“This is an extremely rare sighting.
“I have been a guide in the Maasai Mara for five years and this is the first time I’ve managed to capture it. It was very exciting,” Mr Hassanein said. Click here to sign up for our newsletters.
