England fans break through security at Wembley without tickets for Euro 2020 final

Hordes of ticketless fans forced their way into Wembley for England’s Euro 2020 final against Italy in alarming scenes that were partly caught on camera.

Footage appears to show supporters breaching security barriers and running up steps towards the stands.

Eyewitnesses suggested hundreds pushed their way in and packed stairs, aisles and disabled areas, leaving some paying fans without seats.

Wembley Stadium initially claimed that fans were stopped before they could get into the stadium.

However a spokesperson later admitted that “a small group of people got into the stadium,” adding that “we are now working closely with stadium stewards and security to remove these people.”
