The Crown season 6 trailer previews tragic death of Princess Diana

A new trailer for The Crown has been released, teasing that the sixth season of the hit Netflix show will focus on the Princess Diana Tragedy.

The rest of the royal family takes a backseat in the two-minute trailer, which shows Diana - portrayed by Elizabeth Debicki - struggling with her global fame.

She is seen being hounded by the paparazzi and beginning her ill-fated car ride with Dodi Fayed (played by Khalid Abdalla) in the teaser clip.

The final season of The Crown will cover the years 1997-2005 and is being split into two parts.

The first four episodes will be available to watch on 16 November.
