Pete Wicks took a cheeky swipe at his fellow Strictly Come Dancing contestant Jamie Borthwick during the first live show of 2024.

The Only Way Is Essex star, who has been paired with professional dancer Jowita Przystał, was interviewed by Strictly host Claudia Winkleman and quizzed about his enthusiasm for the show on Saturday night (14 September).

Wicks told her: “I am in for a penny, in for a pound.

“I’m never going to be here again, unless I’m Jamie”.

Wicks was referring to the EastEnders actor, who appeared in and won last year’s Christmas special.
