Paul O’Grady was ‘upbeat’ hours before he died, Avengers actor Linda Thorson says

Paul O’Grady was “upbeat” hours before he died, friend and actor Linda Thorson has revealed.

The Avengers star said she spoke to the late TV icon “for an hour” on the phone on Tuesday 28 March, less than 24 hours before his unexpected death was announced.

“Paul rang me on Tuesday... and we spoke for an hour. It must have been one of the best conversations we ever had,” Thorson told Good Morning Britain.

She added O’Grady was “so upbeat” and “over the moon” about performing in a stage production of Annie.
