Paul O’Grady spent day before he died planning radio return

Paul O’Grady met with a radio production team a day before his death to plan an Easter show, BOOM Radio’s programme director has revealed.

David Lloyd said the late TV icon was “in really good form” just 24 hours before he passed away.

“It’s come as such a shock, our team were working on his Easter programme,” Lloyd said during an interview on Wednesday 29 March.

“I got an email last night from one of them saying: ‘We’ve just spoken to Paul, he’s really looking forward to it.’”
