Paul O’Grady: Lily Savage rips into ‘lad’ culture in resurfaced drag performance
Footage of Lily Savage, Paul O’Grady’s alter ego, ripping into “lad” culture has resurfaced after the TV star’s death.
Mr O’Grady’s partner Andre Portasio announced that the For The Love Of Dogs presenter died “unexpectedly but peacefully” on Tuesday 28 March.
In a resurfaced clip from the BBC’s Lily Savage Show, the drag star says: “It’s this new breed, isn’t it? Fellas now, they’re called ‘lads’.”
“I know what I’d call them...” she added, to cheers from the audience, before also describing lads as “gobs*****”.
