‘Something totally different’ - Montreux Jazz Festival CEO on what makes it so special

Montreux Jazz Festival CEO Mathieu Jaton spoke to The Independent about the magic of the legendary music event.

The Independent was the official news provider for the festival, this year welcoming headliners, Janelle Monae, Sting and Lenny Kravtiz to name but a few.

The festival has welcomed some of the most iconic names in music, including Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis, Prince, and David Bowie. Mathieu spoke to us about some of his top Montreux memories, and what makes the festival so special for artists and fans alike.
