A special tribute has been paid to Doctor Michael Mosley as his last television programme, filmed prior to his sudden death, aired on Thursday (29 August).

Dr Mosley’s wife Clare Bailey paid tribute to her husband at the start of his new Channel 5 programme, Wonders of the Human Body.

Providing the voiceover to a montage of pictures of Dr Mosley, she said: “One of his greatest passions was revealing secrets of how the human body works

“He spent several months travelling far and wide for this programme and I am delighted to introduce it to you.”

Dr Mosley died of heat exhaustion after sitting down and losing consciousness near a holiday resort on the Greek island of Symi in June.
