Maggie Smith admits she is glad Downton Abbey is over in resurfaced clip
Dame Maggie Smith admitted to being glad Downton Abbey was finally over in an interview with Graham Norton.
The 89-year-old actor, whose death was confirmed on Friday (27 September), made an admission about her Downtown character Violet Crawley to the BBC chatshow host during a 2015 interview.
Norton asked her: “Are you glad Downton is over?” Dame Maggie replied: “Oh yes, I really am.” She continued: “No, honestly she must have been about 110.
“It couldn’t go on and on, it didn’t make sense.”
