Hugh Grant hints at ‘very, very sad’ nature of Bridget Jones 4
Hugh Grant has hinted that the next Bridget Jones film could take a much more tearful tone than its prequels.
The fourth instalment of the romantic comedy series, starring Renee Zellweger, follows Jones’ life as a single mother following the death of Mark Darcy (Colin Firth).
Speaking on The Graham Norton Show on Friday (4 October), Grant opened up on how he had been “crammed in” to the fourth film as there was “no obvious role” for Daniel Cleaver and the “very, very sad” nature of the new movie.
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy will be released in the UK on 14 February 2025.
