Eurovision: Emotional moment Sweden’s Loreen announced as 2023 winner
Sweden’s artist Loreen has been announced as the winner of Eurovision 2023, taking the crown for the second time.
She beat tough competition from Finland’s Käärijä and Israel’s Noa Kirel, who finished in second and third place respectively.
Loreen finished top of the infamous jury vote, securing 340 points and the public vote confirmed her victory as she secured another 243 points, for a total of 583.
While this year’s Eurovision was packed with memorable and iconic moments, it was a tough night for the United Kingdom, with Mae Muller finishing in 25th place - only Germany finished lower.
She received 15 points from the jury and nine points in the public vote.
