Zak Dingle’s last Emmerdale appearance as actor Steve Halliwell dies aged 77

Watch the final Emmerdale appearance of actor Steve Halliwell, best known for playing Zak Dingle, after he passed away aged 77.

The beloved actor’s family confirmed he passed away “peacefully with his loved ones around him,” in a statement issued by ITV on 15 December 2023.

Halliwell first appeared on the long-running drama in October 1994, playing the Dingle patriarch for 29 years.

The 27 June edition of the drama was Halliwell’s final episode, in what was a special week of episodes centred around the Dingle family.
