Billy Joel CBS special cut off abruptly during Piano Man at 100th Madison Square Garden show
Billy Joel’s CBS special was abruptly cut off for some viewers during his rendition of his popular hit “Piano Man” on Sunday, 14 April.
The legendary singer-songwriter was performing his 100th Madison Square Garden show for his very first show aired on a broadcast network.
It showcased his concert from 28 March from the Manhattan venue, where his residency will come to an end this July with his 150th performance.
As the 74-year-old was mid-way through his 1973 hit, local news began in some parts of the US.
CBS said it will re-air the broadcast.
