Watch: Bobby Caldwell performs What You Won’t Do for Love

Bobby Caldwell has died at the age of 71, his wife has confirmed.

In a statement on Twitter, Mary Caldwell said the singer passed away at home on Tuesday night (14 March).

“I held him tight in my arms as he left us. I am forever heartbroken,” she said.

Caldwell’s 1978 hit “What You Won’t Do For Love,” his best known, has been extensively sampled over the years - perhaps most notably by Tupac Shakur on his posthumous single “Do for Love”.
