Saudi Arabia spearheads new era of climate action
On 23 October 2021, Saudi will hold its inaugural Saudi Green Initiative Forum in Riyadh.
Leaders will gather to discuss the country’s ambitious action plan to create lasting changes that will protect the environment and improve the lives of future generations.
Saudi Arabia has already pledged to cut its CO2 emissions by 130 million tonnes each year by 2030 and plant 10 billion trees around the country.
The event will be followed by a Youth Green Summit on 24 October and a Middle East Green Initiative Summit on 25 October.
