Art consultant Allan Schwartzman describes how the unique environment of AlUla provides artists with the conditions to create extraordinary work
“When I got there, what I experienced was one of, if not the most beautiful desert environment I’ve ever seen. There are in excess of 100 tombs carved directly into rock, and they are absolutely extraordinary. There’s nothing that prepares you for that. There’s no single picture or film that prepares you for it…what I see in process in AlUla is an extremely progressive, forward-looking relationship to art and artists and the role that art can play in one’s experience”.
