Where the ski season is only starting...

Mid-March is when some skiers start to wind down. But for Jökull Bergmann, who runs a heli-skiing operation in Iceland, the winter is only just beginning.

"Our ski season starts in mid-March and lasts until mid-June. Heli-skiing is considered sort of the king of skiing. It just involves flying in a helicopter to the top of a mountain, then getting dropped off and skiing all the way down. Here in North Iceland that buys you views over the Arctic Ocean and the chance to ski 3,000-metre runs all the way to the ocean and then get picked up on the beach."

Mr Bergmann's name translates as "glacier mountain-man"; his website uses a slightly different spelling: bergmenn.com.
