Hot on the heels of the recent New York Andaz opening, Andaz San Diego opened its doors February 2. Offering luxury accommodation in 159 rooms, the new property offers an exceptional selection of complimentary services such as a coffee or glass of wine on check-in, free wireless internet, free non-alcoholic minibar and unlimited local phone calls. For those who want to get out of their room, there is a nightclub on the roof. This is the fourth Andaz hotel, with three more in the pipeline.

Ramada Plaza Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA
Chinese-owned and operated, the 198-room Ramada Plaza in Honolulu is another reminder of the country's growing influence. The property includes a Chinese and American buffet restaurant and Chinese-speaking tour and travel concierges.

Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London, United Kingdom
This massive 1,021-room property sits on London's iconic South Bank and will be one of the largest properties in the city. It's taken two years of construction and £350 million (400 million euros) to complete the hotel, which also offers a 1,200 square meter ballroom and a spa, fitness center and pool due to open in Spring.

Majestic Villa & Hotel, Paris, France
Paris's newest luxury hotel offers rooms rates starting at €500 and tops out at the €2,500-a-night private apartment, complete with two balconies, kitchen and library. There is also a spa and wellness centre with a traditional Hammam steam bath.

The Bud Light Hotel South Beach, Miami, Florida, USA
It's a marketing stunt, but a fun one. The "Bud Light Hotel" is a pop-up hotel in the style of pop-up stores that were hot in 2009; it will take over Miami's Doubletree Surfcomber hotel until February 7 to host parties featuring stars such as Usher, Uncle Kracker and Jamie Foxx. The Ultimate Fighting Championship and GQ magazine will also host parties at the venue in the run-up to the Super Bowl.
