This week: Renaissance Faces is a major exhibition opening in Berlin's Bode Museum on Thursday. More than 150 masterpieces from collections around the world are being brought together, including works by Botticelli, da Vinci and Bellini (visitberlin.de).
In the diary: Six Senses Laamu in the Maldives is hosting the Watermen event, which will bring together watersports icons, from divers to surfers. The athletes will be showing off their skills, hosting clinics and giving talks to guests at the luxury resort, from 30 September to 4 October (sixsenses.com).
