The Geneva Tourism board has launched a special package to enable visitors to attend the Geneva Motor Show, which begins next week.
Single weekend room rates start from 117CHF (€80) per night with the package, which is available for stays from Thursday, March 4 to the show's closing date on Sunday, March 14. During the week, the price for a single night rises to 135CHF (€92).
The promotional price includes a night at one of the city's hotels, breakfast, an entrance ticket to the show, a travel card for each person staying and a bus, boat or walking tour of the city. Reservations can be made using credit cards only through the Geneva Tourism & Convention Bureau up to, at the latest one working day (Monday to Friday) before arrival, according to availability.
Swiss rail operator SBB is also offering a 10 percent reduction to those travelling to the show from other Swiss locations by train. The discount is applicable for both outward and return journeys and can be obtained by presenting an official entrance card when buying a ticket at any SBB station between March 4 and 14, 2010. Visitors who do not yet hold a show ticket can book one with a reduced rail ticket on the SBB website.
