BA’s latest winter sun offers might tempt you to join them. Try, for example, the airline’s new route to Sharm El Sheikh, where seven nights' B&B at the five-star Maritim Jolie Ville Golf and Resort will set you back just £419 per person, including return flights from Gatwick (departing 9 January to 8 February). Alternatively, a week at the three-star All Seasons Resort Europa in Barbados (breakfast not included) is just £629 per person including return flights from Gatwick (departing 16 January to 9 February). If you can’t wait that long, try a pre-Christmas break to Sri Lanka. Departing on 7 December, Hayes & Jarvis is offering a 10-night stay at the four-star Eden Resort and Spa at Beruwela, a beach resort in the south-east of the island. The price of £649 per person includes B&B and return Oman Air flights from Heathrow via Muscat.

Valid for departures from now until 9 December, or from 15 January to 31 March 2010.
Ski deals are rife at the moment. Budget packages are available from Aldi Travel ( alditravel.co.uk). Seven nights at Le Grand Chalet in Brides Les Bains near Méribel, France, cost £179 per person including self-catering accommodation and flights from Gatwick on 19 December or 23 January, or from Manchester on 9 January or 23 January. Transfers are also included.
Alternatively, Expedia ( expedia.co.uk) is offering a week’s skiing in Bulgaria for just £263 per person, staying at the four-star Bansko Royal Towers, including return flights from Heathrow to Sofia. The hotel is close to the Dobrinishte and Bansko ski resorts. Or you can stay in the Alps at the four-star Le Ski Dor in Tignes, France, where a week’s bed and breakfast is £589 per person, including return flights from London City to Geneva. Le Ski Dor is close to the Espace Killy Ski resort and has ski in/ski out access.
Finally, look no further for art deco style at bargain basement prices. The Midland Hotel ( elh.co.uk) in Morecambe Lancashire is offering stunning sea views in the iconic property for just £30 per person per night B&B, available Sunday-Thursday throughout November, based on two sharing.
