If you can wait a little longer, Netflights.com has a package for £8 less. A three-night break at the three-star Harbour Plaza North Point in Hong Kong, including Jet Airways flights from Heathrow via Mumbai costs £469 per person. You could also celebrate the tiger in Sumatra. The Indonesian island is home to the rare feline, and there are wild and unspoilt beaches and wildlife-packed forests on offer as well. Another impressive reduction is being offered by Hayes & Jarvis ( hayesandjarvis.co.uk), which has a half-price sale on some of its Asian destinations. Among these is a trip to Sri Lanka, reduced from £1,398 to £699 per person. Finally, with Chinese New Year and carnival season just days away, if you can’t escape the country in time, then head to Florida where Mardi Gras celebrations are extended at the theme parks until April.
