Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Every so often, Jack Sheldon from Jack’s Flight Club selects a flight deal from the UK for Independent readers that you can’t afford to miss. This week: return flights to Bangkok or Singapore for £332 return.

This is a good deal to Southeast Asia for passengers across the UK, rather than just those flying from London or Manchester.

It can be tough to find a good value fare flying east from regional airports – but KLM and Air France are offering convenient connections through Europe from across the UK.

There are lots of dates to choose from with this one: with shoulder season dates for Bangkok when it's quieter (and hotels are cheaper), while Singapore has lots of availability throughout the high season.

How to book

Head to Google Flights and enter either your departure airport from the list below as your departure and your choice of either Bangkok or Singapore as your destination. You may want to add a “Skyteam” airline filter to the search to help find the dates included in this deal.

Use Google Flights’ calendar tool to help you highlight the best travel dates (they’ll show up in green).

This one is best booked directly with the airline and Google Flights will provide you a link to book.
