You can now get verified on Tinder
For more authentic matches with celebrities
Isn't it annoying when you're flirting with Drake on Tinder and then are like 'Hold up, he's never professed a love for The Santa Clause 3 before, why do we share this liking on Facebook? Is this the real Champagne Papi I'm speaking to?'
Well fortunately this is set to be a problem of the past, with Tinder announcing that it is introducing verification for notable people.
"Each day, 26 million matches are made on Tinder, and we do our best to keep those matches real - that’s why we’re rolling out Verified Profiles," it wrote in a blog post.

"Starting today, you may see a verified symbol on some profiles. Now when notable public figures, celebrities and athletes appear in your recommendations, you’ll know it’s for real."
At the moment it doesn't look as though you can apply for verification, and must simply wait for the Tinder gods to deem you worthy.
When it happens, verification will appear as a small blue tick, much like on Twitter.
