Your support makes all the difference.Call of Duty XP is the name of Activision's new two-day Los Angeles festival of all things CoD this September, with a special focus on exclusive reveals for November's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer will be shown off, and the Call of Duty: Elite subscription service will be given a full run-down ahead of a November 8 launch.
Activision and Xbox are putting $1 million in the pot for a Call of Duty tournament, while Modern Warfare 2 level Scrapyard is being rebuilt as a life-size paintball arena, and an assault course will re-create training level The Pit.
As for nosh, Modern Warfare 2's Burger Town joint will be open for business.
Tickets for the event, which are limited to just over 6,000, will be available on July 19 at $150 each (€105/£95), with all proceeds going towards the Call of Duty Endowment, a military veterans' fund.
That ensures that COD XP will be a somewhat intimate affair, at least in comparison to Activision Blizzard's other fanfest, the annual BlizzCon.
COD XP's September 2-3 dates place it between another fan expo, Washington's PAX Prime (August 26-28) and the Tokyo Game Show (September 15-18).
BlizzCon 2011 is set for October 21-22 in Anaheim, California.
