Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099 will return in Spider-Man: Edge of Time, the follow-up to Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, set to arrive on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in autumn 2011.
Both Amazing Spider-Man and his futuristic equivalent appeared in Shattered Dimensions, along with Spider-Man Noire and Ultimate Spider-Man.
Shattered Dimensions brought together Spider-Men from four different realities, while Edge of Time focuses on two - and once again both are threatened by a common enemy.
Prolific comic book writer and 2099 co-creator Peter David wrote the storyline for Edge of Time, having already been involved in the 2009 Xbox Live Arcade hit Shadow Complex and several Ben 10 episodes.
Beenox, the same studio behind Shattered Illusions, is working on Edge of Time.
The studio's publisher, Activision, has also given the go-ahead for a new Transformers game from High Moon Studios.
Transformers: Dark of The Moon, which will act as late June prequel to July's movie of the same name, builds on the success of Transformers: War for Cybertron.
It's a good year for games based on cartoons, comics, and graphic novels: DC Universe Online came out in January, with Marvel vs Capcom 3 following in February and Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars in March.
The Smurfs video game will tie-in with an August motion picture, while for older players Batman: Arkham City is due in October.
