Web series and fighting game tie-in Mortal Kombat: Legacy is destined for a November 20 Blu-ray release in North America at least.
The $20 set will include behind the scenes featurettes exploring the series's stunts, history, and gaming background.
Warner Bros is keeping mum on the prospect of a DVD version or a downloadable package - Legacy is already available for free, without the extras, on YouTube where it premiered.
The first episode reached 13 million views, with the remaining eight averaging 3.5 million.
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog made similar moves when it premiered online via the Hulu and then Netflix and Amazon streaming services. DVD and Blu-ray versions followed five months later.
Other web series that have made the jump to physical format include MMO series The Guild and nerd comedy Pure Pwnage.
