The Logan Paul vs KSI rematch will happen later than expected – and might not even take place in the US, according to KSI.

The YouTube star told 5 Live that he will not allow the second fight to happen in February, as widely rumoured.

And he hopes that the location is somewhere like Dubai, he said. But if the event must happen in America then it should be held in New York, to ensure that UK fans can watch it, he said.

KSI began the interview with the BBC by stressing that he "couldn't believe" the match – heralded as the "biggest event in internet history" – went to a draw.

"I was sure I won, so I was like, I'll do it again because I want to make sure that I prove to everyone that I could have beaten him," he said. "Because I definitely beat him."

Asked whether the rumoured February date was accurate, he said he was going to veto that and make sure the event happened later in the year.

"I'm going to make sure that doesn't happen," he said. "I'd love it to be early summer, so like May.

"I think that'd be perfect, for me and everyone else, that'd be perfect. I get to enjoy the rest of th year, not to worry too much about training."

He said that he has only just been able to enjoy food like McDonald's and pizzas, and that he wanted to take some time to "relax and enjoy myself for a bit".

Asked about the location, he said he would love it to happen "somewhere like Dubai or something", but he recognised that it will likely happen in the US. The fight is almost certain to head back to America because KSI hosted Logan Paul on his home turf, in Manchester, this time around.

"I think New York would make the mos sense," he said. "I wouldn't want it to be in Vegas or LA, because it's long having to stay up that late to watch the fight.

"New York would make more sense because more people in the UK could watch it and more people in America could watch it."
