A look at the most popular Facebook trends according to global popularity engine Likester for the week ending July 22.

With the cinema release of the final chapter in the Harry Potter movie series and the announcement of an online partnership with Google to release the Harry Potter books on Google's eBook reading platform, Facebook users have been frantically "liking" the Harry Potter Facebook page.

Legendary synthpop band Kraftwerk has announced three rare shows in Germany in October and has gained a surge of Facebook fans in the process.

The already sold-out shows will feature a live "3D experience" and are timed to coincide with the opening of the Kraftwerk 3D Video Installation at the Kunstbau-Lenbachhaus.

" I segreti della casta di Montecitorio," Italian for "the secrets of the caste of Montecitorio" (the current seat of the Italian Chamber of Deputies), is a Facebook page set up by Italians who are angry that low-income earners in Italy are forced to pay for Italian politicians' excessive spending out of their own pocket.

NFL player Tom Brady moves up the Facebook popularity ranking to fourth place and is followed in the chart by the animated movie " How to Train Your Dragon" and alternative rock band Garbage.

Likester categorizes its Facebook trends as "what people are liking now" in locations around the globe, for the last seven days.

The top Facebook trends for the week ending July 22 according to Likester:

  1. Kraftwerk
  2. How to Train Your Dragon
  3. I segreti della casta di Montecitorio
  4. Tom Brady
  5. Garbage
  6. Harry Potter
