The two handsets have just been unveiled, and will be available to preorder on 15 September.
They'll begin shipping on 22 September.
The handsets are available with 32GB, 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, and start at $699 and $799.
iOS 11, meanwhile, will be available to download on 19 September.
Somewhat strangely, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus aren't the headline launches of this year's Apple event.
That would be the iPhone X, a much more advanced version.
However, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are likely to be the model of choice for most consumers, as the iPhone X is much more expensive, and comes out later this year.
