Current Twitter trends: Scott Pilgrim, MTV, Ramadan

" Scott Pilgrim," the name of a graphic novel turned mainstream film, is the most talked about topic on Twitter on the morning of August 11.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is due to be released in North America on August 13 and people on Twitter are posting links to a trailer of the film that has been recreated with original panels from the comic book series (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIR2XYGDxCo&feature=youtube).

The name of American TV series " Pretty Little Liars" makes its way back into Twitter's most talked about topics in third place.

Fourth, sixth and seventh places are taken by the memes "afterwebrokeup," "wheniwaslittle" and "inmiddleschool" while science fiction film " Inception" moves down one place to number eight.

"Ramadan," a month-long Islamic observance that involves fasting from sunrise to sunset and refraining from activities that are deemed excessive, is in fifth place on the charts.

People on Twitter are also using their 140 character or less posts to wish others ‘Ramadan "Mubarak"' and ‘"Kareem" Ramadan' (Muslim greetings that literally mean "Blessed Festival.") "Mubarak" and "Kareem" Ramadan are trending in ninth and tenth places.
