" Scott Pilgrim," a new release film based on a series of graphic novels, retains its number one position in Twitter's most talked about topics on the morning of August 17.

The names of recently released films " Expendables" and " Inception" are also constant fixtures lately in Twitter's trending topics, taking sixth and seventh place respectively on Tuesday.

In second and fifth places are the hashtags "#note2females" and "#missedcallexcuses."

Indonesian music promotion company Java Musikindo (@AdrieSubono) caused a frenzy of tweets on Twitter on August 17 with a Twitter-based ticket giveaway for a a large music festival called Jakarta Jam 2010.

@AdrieSubono asked people to tweet the name of Indonesia's third president (B.J. "Habibie") along with the hashtag "#jakartajam2010" to go into the running to win tickets for the festival.

August 17 is also a Indonesia's national Independence Day and people are using the terms "Independence" and "Merdeka," to talk about the day.

"Regen," the Dutch word for "rain" is trending in eighth place.
