Twitter's most talked about topics are filled with references to the Golden Globe film and television awards which took place on the evening of January 16 in Beverly Hills, California, USA.

Action movie "# TheMechanic" is promoted in first place while hashtags "#ihatefemaleswho" and "#aftertheshower" take second and third place.

The misspelled name of American actor Johnny Depp is trending in fifth place.

"Johnny DEEP? YOU'RE KIDDING ME RIGHT? YOU CAN SPELL MACAULAY CULKIN BUT DEPP IS SO FREAKING HARD? Oh gosh, I give up on humanity," tweet a chorus of Johnny Depp fans.

American actor and Inception star "Joseph Gordon-Levitt" is in seventh place and The Big Bang Theory actor and Golden Globe Award winner for Best Actor in a Television Series Musical or Comedy "Jim Parsons" is tenth on the chart.  

"Baby Doc," a nickname for former Haiti ruler Jean-Claude "Duvalier," is in sixth place and the name of American football player "Bart Scott" is in eighth place.
