From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

June 28 sees the arrival of a new 5-map combo on Xbox 360, as Call of Duty: Black Ops serves up a new trailer for its Annihilation pack.

Each map is designed to emphasize a different aspect of multiplayer gameplay in a pack that debuts on Xbox 360 before making its way over to PlayStation 3 and PC.

Drive-in's tight environment favors close-quarters combat, Hazard is a golf course turned sniping ground, Silo takes players to a Russian base with convoluted pathways, while Hangar 18 mixes long and short range engagement with Area 51 mythos.

Just as Hazard swaps drab landscapes for bright color, Shangri-La's zombie-infested map opts for vibrant, high-altitude shrines laden with hidden traps and unfriendly wildlife.

Come June 28, there will be 20 weeks remaining until Black Ops' successor arrives on consoles and PC in the form of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Battlefield 3 launches two weeks earlier on October 25 (October 28 outside of North America), while historical shooter Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad is on PC from August 30.

Annihilation's multiplayer trailer can be seen on the Call of Duty channel at youtu.be/nbcc4cXONso.
