Your support helps us to tell the story
My recent work focusing on Latino voters in Arizona has shown me how crucial independent journalism is in giving voice to underrepresented communities.
Your support is what allows us to tell these stories, bringing attention to the issues that are often overlooked. Without your contributions, these voices might not be heard.
Every dollar you give helps us continue to shine a light on these critical issues in the run up to the election and beyond

Apple unveiled not just one new version of the iPhone X, but three, in its biggest event of the year.
Among the trio is Apple's largest ever phone – the iPhone Xs Max – which features the biggest display that Apple has ever put in a phone.
Many details about that new phone, including its shiny gold colour, were accidentally leaked by Apple ahead of the event. The other two devices are the slightly smaller iPhone Xs and the cheaper iPhone Xr version.
But it wasn't just the iPhones that were revealed at the event. Lots more was announced, including huge updates to the Apple Watch and long-awaited new accessories.
The new Apple Watch was also leaked ahead of the event, showing the first re-design of the wearable since it was released.

Phil Schiller is back on stage to tell us about how Apple has improved the dual-lens camera. Here's some specs for you:
While the iPhone XS Max may look like a contradiction in terms when written down, it's worth noting that it's actually pronounced "ten S Max".
Not to be confused with this shop:
Schiller is still extolling the virtues of the new phone's camera. The photos and videos look impressive. Here's an example:
On to battery life now, and both the XS and the XS Max feature improved batteries.
The XS Max will actually feature the largest battery ever to be placed in an iPhone, capable of lasting up to an hour and a half longer than the iPhone X.
Schiller moves on quickly to mention that the phone will finally feature dual-sim capabilities.
Here's a summary of some of the features we've learnt about so far:
Apple cares about the environment and it wants you to know about it.
"We've transitioned to using recycled tin," Lisa Jackson, Apple's vice president of environment, comes on stage to say. "This one change will prevent the mining of more than 10,000 tons of tin ore in a single year."
Good news for the planet, bad news for tin miners around the world.
As expected, there's another new iPhone: The iPhone XR
It's the cheaper and less-advanced version of the three. But it does come in a lot of nice colours – white, black, blue, coral, yellow and red.
"Each beautifully designed with that aluminum finish," Schiller says. "We think it's going to make a lot of customers really happy."
Wondering which new iPhone you should buy? We've put together a questionnaire to help you choose the one that's best for you:
Tim Cook is back on stage to tell us about some updates to Apple HomePod and TV OS. The updates will be available on Monday.
Updates to Mac are also on their way, coming 24 September. A big month for Apple.
