The developers of Apex Legends are rushing to fix bugs and kick out cheaters – and have called on players to help.

In the latest of a run of updates as the game continues to grow even faster than Fortnite, Respawn said they had been working to deal with the game's biggest issues.

Despite its popularity, Apex Legends has been hit by bugs since its surprise launch. And like with any new battle royale game, players have had to deal with cheaters in their games.

But Respawn says it has plans to fix both of those issues as the game continues to grow.

Problems with crashes and other bugs will be dealt with in new updates, developers said in an update posted to Reddit. They asked users to report issues through EA's devoted page, and to include as much information as possible.

"We know this has been frustrating for many of you across all platforms," they wrote. "We hear you and we take this issue seriously. Improving stability, performance, and quality of life is a big priority for us and we have a lot of work to do.

"We pushed our first patch out earlier this week and we’ve got many more coming [including one next week!]. We’ll always provide patch notes when these come out. No I can’t tell you what’s in it yet."

Cheaters will also keep getting banned, developers said. A huge number have already been kicked out, but the game now has more than 25 million people playing it, making them very difficult to catch.

They asked that players try and capture evidence of any cheating and submit it. They also suggested that a devoted reporting feature could soon be built int the game.

"As of today over 16,000 cheaters have been identified and banned from the game. Cheaters suck. If you run into one, please try and capture the evidence and let us know here," they wrote.

Even if you don’t get proof, get their ID and flag it and we can investigate the account. We have heard your feedback about a report feature in the game. I’ll just say that’s a very good idea :)"
