This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

Carolina Panthers safety Roman Harper has offered fans who missed out on tickets for Super Bowl 50 the chance to watch the game from his own sofa by renting his apartment on Airbnb.
Harper will be out of the house on Sunday evening, busy taking on the Denver Broncos in Santa Clara, as the Panthers hope to upset the odds and lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the first time.
The 33-year-old has, therefore, decided to reach out to the many fans who could not secure a ticket for the game.
One supporter and two guests will be granted access to his ‘Panther’s Dream Den’, at the price of $5,000 (£3,448), with all the proceeds going towards his charity Harper's Hope 41 Foundation.
“A super fan and their super guest will be able to feel right at home in my living room while I play in this year’s main event,” he wrote on Airbnb.
“Kick back on my sofa while watching Super Bowl 50 on our 70 inch TV. As evening approaches, prepare your football finest and take advantage of the kitchen -- it's where I (and my mom) spend most of the time preparing for big games!
“Oh, and did I mention, I will throw in a signed football, too.”
Harper has a number of specific house rules, however, with guests prohibited from smoking, hosting a party or practicing their own football skills in the hallways.
Airbnb have announced that they will match the $5,000 donation.
