Shortly after nearly coming to blows at the UFC 196 pre-fight press conference, Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, the two headliners for this weekend’s pay-per-view, made some joint media rounds and gave their respective versions of what happened on Thursday afternoon in Las Vegas.

The most heated exchanges of the media round came when the two appeared on FOX Sports 1's "FSLive: Jay and Dan".

The duo recalled the incident that had just occurred and neither were short of expletives as the two traded insults for the entire interview

When asked about the scuffle that just happened McGregor was quick to poke fun at Diaz: "The man was afraid to look me dead in the eye, so he put a frame out in front of him and I quickly snatched it and broke his wrist."

Diaz had a different version of events and replied: "Yeah, you got a scared little [expletive] shot on the hand and [expletive]."

McGregor then snapped back: "The medics are in with him now, his wrist will never be the same. Like his bum knee, like his bum leg."

In any McGregor interview, the topic of money is never far away and the 'Notorious' wasn't afraid to tell Diaz his worth. "My socks cost more than the whole suit you have on, you little bum. I could buy and sell you a hundred times," said McGregor.

This sparked Diaz into a rage of expletives as he then accused the Irishman of being born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

"You're a rich kid," said Diaz. "Rich kids shouldn't fight ever. Real people fight. Real people fight. Not [expletive] rich kids. You were born rich."

This verbal volley seemed to really touch a nerve with McGregor who fired back: "[Expletive] you, you don't know me.

"You don't know where the [expletive] I came from. I'll ride into Stockton and take everyone out. Bunch of snitches in Stockton. I never heard of Stockton in my life."

As the two continued to bicker back and forth about everything and anything, the interview ended with both being asked to give their predictions for Saturday night.

McGregor, typically confident, said: "If he's still conscious when he hits the mat I will crush his hips and pass his guard and mount him and strangle him."

Diaz had other ideas, though: "You got choked out by two nobodies," he said referring to McGregor's two career submission losses.

"You were submitted by lames not even that long ago, it was like a week ago."

After their breathless exchange, the media for the day was done and the two finally rested their mouths after hours of talking and insult trading.

The two will stand toe-to-toe yet again today at the UFC 196 weigh-ins where after hitting the scales they will weigh-in and then stare-off for one final time before Saturday night.
