British hopeful Chelsea Samways, 18, was seen partying with the Australian athlete Nick Kyrgios hours after he retired from his first match against Frenchmen Pierre-Hugues Herbert, blaming a hip injury.
Several injured players had to pull out during the first round of Wimbledon which raised concerns over whether players were risking getting a more serious injury in order to cash in on the £35,000 first-round prize.
By the early hours of the morning following his Wimbledon appearance, Kyrgios was seen walking out of the Cirque Nightclub in Soho with the junior player, the Daily Mail reports.
The pair was joined by Australian junior Monique Belovukovic, a tennis circuit friend of Ms Samways, and both girls were reportedly seen kissing the 22-year-old.
Ms Samways' father, Lawrence Samways, was furious to learn her daughter had sneaked out to go to a nightclub and feared she risked throwing away her tennis dreams for late nights out.
He said he had "grounded" his daughter following the incident.
"My daughter is only 18 and a sweet girl. She's been out all time of the night. I don't like it. So I've taken her car away. She won't be going out like that again," he said.
Ms Samways is due to take a university tennis scholarship in Florida next month and Mr Samways, who is a plumbing engineer, said he "did not want any of this nonsense to get in the way".
He added he would like to "knock out" Kyrgios, whose huge talent for the game has been obscured in the past by on-court outbursts and meltdowns.
He said his daughter had been playing tennis since she was four years old and was very committed.
According to the International Tennis Federation, Miss Samways has recently turned professional and has only competed in doubles matches so far.
The profile also states she is coached by Andrei Kozlov, who runs a tennis academy in Miami, Florida.
