At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Your support makes all the difference.World number two Daniil Medvedev has been forced to withdraw from ATP’s Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters after he tested positive for coronavirus.
The news came ahead of the third day of play at the tournament and the Russian star, who trained with Spain’s Rafael Nadal on Monday, is being replaced with Argentinian Juan Ignacio Londero.
Medvedev said: “It’s a big disappointment not to play in Monte-Carlo. My focus is now on recovery and I look forward to getting back out on Tour as soon and as safely as possible.”
The ATP said the 25-year-old has been moved into isolation and was being monitored by the tournament’s doctor and the tour’s medical team.
The incident has raised some eyebrows around the tournament’s leniency on players not having to be in a secure bubble. Medvedev lives in the principality and was allowed to stay at his home rather than be in a strict tournament bubble.
