Australian Open semi finals: All you need to know as Andy Murray and Johanna Konta look to reach Grand Slam finals
All the details for the historic Austrlian Open semi finals

For the first time since 1977 a Briton has reached a Grand Slam semi-final in both the men’s and women’s competition. Sue Barker and John Lloyd were the last pair to do so, although neither was able to claim the title. Johanna Konta and compatriot Andy Murray will hope to go one better, but first will have to secure a place in the final.
Hungarian-born Konta progressed after defeating Zhang Shuai 6-4, 6-1 in her first major quarter-final. The unseeded Brit hasn’t progressed past the fourth round of any Grand Slam and will be looking to capitalise on a good vein of form.
Earlier this week she had described herself as “the female Jason Bourne” and whilst subterfuge and underhand tactics won’t come into play; Konta will need to display a steely determination to take down seventh seed Angelique Kerber.
On the men’s side of the draw Andy Murray will be looking to reach his ninth Grand Slam final with a semi-final against Canadian Milos Raonic. The Scot is seeded at second for the tournament and will need to defeat the 14th seed who was a 2014 Wimbledon semi-finalist.
