Andy Murray comfortably lost at The O2 to Rafa Nadal this afternoon, falling to the Spaniard pretty quickly in a 6-4 6-1 defeat.

But the Scot, currently ranked No 2 in the world, can't blame his hair.

After trading breaks in a tight first set Murray looked agitated but seized on his chance during the change of ends.

Reaching into his bag Murray took out a pair of scissors and snipped off an inch of hair that he had been playing with in the previous couple of games.

The chop had an instant impact (probably) as he was able to hold serve for the first time in the match in the next game.

But it wasn't his day, with Nadal dominating the second set to come away with a victory.
