THE defending men's singles champion, Pete Sampras, will be out in the wilds of Wimbledon today when he plays his second-round match against Richey Reneberg on court 14. The court, well away from the main stadium complex, will also stage the match between the No 10 seed, Michael Chang, and the Australian qualifier, Michael Tebbutt.

Last year's finalist, Jana Novotna, opens her 1994 Wimbledon campaign against Miriam Oremans on Centre Court. Twice champion Stefan Edberg will also be on duty on Centre Court - against Kenneth Carlsen of Denmark.
