National Championships

Andrew Castle and Jo Durie will be defending their national titles this week. They and Jeremy Bates, who reached the last 16 at Wimbledon this year, have byes to the second round. On the first four days the opening three rounds of singles and the women's quarter- finals will be completed. The women's semi-finals and men's quarters are on Friday, the women's singles and doubles finals and men's semis on Saturday and the men's singles and doubles finals on Sunday.
How to get there: Telford Racquet Centre, St Quentin Gate, Telford, is off the St Quentin Roundabout and is well signposted from the M54. Play starts at 10am on 2-5 November, 11 on 6-7 November and 1pm on 8 November. Admission: 2-6 November pounds 3 adults, five-day ticket pounds 6 adults. 7-8 November pounds 7.
