Norway have named eight English-based players in their team for the World Cup warm-up match against France in Marseilles today. The eight include the entire defence and goalkeeper, as well as the Chelsea striker Tore Andre Flo and the Blackburn midfielder Lars Bohinen.

Stoke's Mike Macari is having a trial with the Second Division club, Blackpool, whose manager Nigel Worthington played for the Midlands club last season.

Watford have signed the Republic of Ireland Under-21 striker Dominic Foley on a month's loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
