The French America's Cup team, with both Bertrand Pace and Thierry Peponnet in charge, was last night disputing the lead with Sweden's Ludde Ingvall as the eight Maxis in the Adecco World Championship contested a 222-mile triangular course in the North Sea, from Scheveningen to Great Yarmouth, Harwich and back.
