Sunderland's reserves beat Derby 4-1 at the Stadium of Light to seal the Pontins Central League title last night. A crowd of 23,378 took advantage of free admission to witness the occasion.
Watford's Graham Taylor has been named Nationwide First Division Manager of the Month following the Hornets' six successive League victories in April. The Second and Third Division awards went respectively to Walsall's Ray Graydon and Brentford's Ron Noades, both of whom have guided their sides to promotion this season.
